Tonight is an annual fundraiser for a Greene County organization.

The Greene County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited are hosting their banquet and auction at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds starting at 5:30pm with a social time. Organizer Dr. Steve Karber tells Raccoon Valley Radio the meal will be served at 7pm, which includes prime rib or smoked turkey from Bett and Bev’s Barbecue in Jefferson. Additionally, there will be sides with cheesy potatoes, baked beans, a lettuce salad and beverages.

Following the meal is the live and silent auctions, along with several raffles with featured items such as ten different shotguns, a cooler with lots of tailgating items, a $100 meat bundle, a half of a lamb, art prints, and other donated items from various businesses.

Karber says all proceeds from their fundraiser goes to the national Ducks Unlimited program, where locally, there have been projects including Dunbar Slough, Snake Creek, Cedar Grove and an upcoming project will take place at Goose Lake. Tickets for the fundraiser at $40, which includes an annual membership and the meal, or $60 for a couple. Tickets are available at the door.
