Today was quarterfinal day in the state high school baseball tournament, Cedar Cliff edge North Allegheny 2 to 1 and six ***. The Colts will get Mount Lebanon in *** Monday semi final 58 quarterfinals. Greencastle Antrim took on Pocono Mountain East at Weger field in Lebanon County. G *** got on the board in the top of the first inning and that's all they needed. Jace Lasky was solid on the hill all night protected. That lead went six innings of shutout ball reached his pitch limit. So Adam Horse comes in and he gets the save in the ninth, two outs runner at third strikeout ends the game and Greencastle Antrim one nothing win puts the Blue Devils into the state semi finals for the first time in 23 years. Fredericksburg, Pa. (WGAL) – Greencastle-Antrim scored the first and only run of the game in the top of the first inning. The Blue Devils got a strong outing from Jace Szaflarski on the mound as he went a full six innings allowing zero runs. When he reached his pitch limit entering the seventh inning, head coach Eric Shaner sent in Adam Horst to close out the game. Despite having a runner on Pocono Mtn. East base runner 90 feet away from tying up the game, Horst recorded the strikeout.Up next for the Blue Devils is a matchup with Strath Haven Monday afternoon.
