Head coach Pete Carroll announced that Lucas (shoulder) is expected to be healthy for the start of training camp, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports. Lucas is nearing his return after undergoing shoulder surgery earlier in the offseason. The 24-year-old started all but one of the Seahawks' games last season as well as their wild-card loss to the 49ers and should be expected to have a similar role during the upcoming campaign.

Claypool is being held out of practice with a soft tissue injury, WCSR's Mark Grogte reports. His absence from a few spring practices shouldn't matter so long as Claypool is healthy for training camp this summer. He looks to be third on the depth chart behind DJ Moore and Darnell Mooney (ankle), the latter of whom has also been absent from spring practices. Claypool didn't do much after coming over from Pittsburgh in a trade last fall and now enters his contract year in a suboptimal situation for putting up numbers.

Julien will be optioned to Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Julien performed well after being recalled to the majors May 20, slashing .286/.333/.500 with two homers and four RBI in 36 plate appearances. He'll be forced back to Triple-A due to the return of Jorge Polanco (hamstring), but the 24-year-old prospect will almost certainly be back with the Twins at some point this year if he continues to crush minor-league pitching.

Astros manager Dusty Baker said Brantley (shoulder) hit off a tee Thursday, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports. Brantley began taking dry swings last week, but this was the first time he put bat-to-ball since his setback in early May. The veteran has been out all season while recovering from August 2022 shoulder labrum surgery and there remains no timetable for his 2023 debut, but he at least seems to be on the right track again with his rehab.

Votto (shoulder/biceps) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville on Saturday, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports. Votto started his initial rehab assignment in early April, but it quickly became obvious his surgically repaired left shoulder and bicep weren't ready. The veteran first baseman has been ramping up his workouts in recent weeks and now feels ready to give it another shot. How many games he might need isn't yet clear, but a lengthy rehab stint seems probable. Once he's deemed ready, Votto figures to be used both at first base and designated hitter.

The 25-year-old former top prospect returns Wednesday to a .231/.310/.442 batting line through 14 games (58 plate appearances) this season at the Triple-A level.

Walker is slashing .342/.447/.579 with two home runs, one steal and a 25.5 percent strikeout rate over his last 10 games for Triple-A Memphis. On the year, he has been nine percent worse (91 wRC+) than the average International League hitter while working exclusively in right field since getting demoted from the big leagues April 26. The Cardinals are getting strong play on both sides of the ball from Lars Nootbaar, but none of the other big-league outfielders have taken a job and run with it. With Walker heating up at Triple-A, he has put himself in position for a promotion if the Cardinals think his defense will be satisfactory.

Pokusevski suffered a small right humerus fracture May 31 and will be re-evaluated in four-to-six weeks, Clemente Almanza of the Thunder Wire reports. Pokusevski has had some tough injury luck lately, as he missed over half of his third NBA season with a total of 34 games played. Fortunately, he still has a lot of time to recover in advance of training camp with the Thunder. With an improved three-point shot and a knack for blocking shots, Pokusevski has the potential to play a big role for the Thunder.
