Eagles' Jalen Hurts ranked as the best QB in the NFC

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers are currently in the midst of trading four-time NFL MVP and future hall-of-fame quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, to the New York Jets. The trade will change the entire landscape of the NFC, especially at the quarterback position.

ESPN analyst and former NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, Robert Griffin III, shared his thoughts on the top quarterbacks in the NFC assuming Rodgers is traded. Griffin has former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Hurts ranked No. 1 followed by Kirk Cousins, Dak Prescott, Kyler Murray and Geno Smith. Hurts just lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl appearance in his second full year as a starter and is only getting better by the game.

Hurts was a contender for the MVP award until he suffered an injury that sidelined him for a few weeks toward the end of the year. Hurts is in line with Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert to get paid very handsomely soon as a franchise-leading guy.
