Man charged after woman stabbed with apparent machete on Dewey Avenue
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man is charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed with an apparent machete during a domestic incident on Dewey Avenue. The stabbing happened the night of Thursday, April 18 between Burling and Benwell roads. When Rochester Police arrived, they found the woman with life-threatening injuries. She was rushed to Strong Hospital where she is in critical condition.

Rochester police: Man arrested after breaking into home, threatening woman and robbing her
Rochester, N.Y. — A man faces charges after he allegedly broke into a home, threatened a woman and stole from her before fleeing. Police said Steven Narvaez, 37, forced his way into the home Thursday on Scrantom Street, held the victim against a wall, demanded money and threatened to rape her while holding scissors to her throat. He allegedly stole cash from the victim's purse before leaving the scene. The victim was not injured.
