Great Bend man arrested on drug-related charges
BARTON COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - A Great Bend man was arrested on drug-related charges over the weekend. Around 11 p.m. Saturday, a Barton County Sheriff's deputy stopped a Chevrolet Malibu for an equipment violation in the 800 block of East Barton County Road, near Ellinwood. As the deputy was conducting a driver's license check, another officer walked Sheriff's officer K-9 Menta around the vehicle. Menta indicated the presence of controlled substances in the vehicle, which turned out to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
