Lady Cats Volleyball to Host Golf Scramble Fundraiser
SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Central Lady Cats Volleyball will hold a fundraiser to support the Volleyball program on June 19. The Lady Cats will host a four-person scramble golf outing on Monday, June 19, at the Bentwood Country Club located at 2111 Club House Lane. Wall Baseball Coach Schniers Speaks Before Regional Finals
WALL, TX — In 2021, the last time the Wall Hawks duked it out with the Brock Eagles, Wall had recently won a state championship. Brock defeated the Hawks in three games in the Regional Final to end their season. This was two seasons ago, and Wall hasn’t returned to the Regional Final since. That all changes on Thursday, June 1, at Crutcher-Scott Field at Abilene Christian University at 7 p.m. Wall has a chance to return to the state tournament this year, and the Hawks’ Skipper thinks they are ready to go.
Angelo State Earns No. 3 Seed for College World Series
INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The top-ranked Angelo State Rams will be a 3-seed headed into the Division II College World Series. Wall Advances After Win in the Rain
LUBBOCK, TX — Cloudy skies and another lightning delay could not deter the Wall Hawks from their pursuit of a Regional Semifinal Championship on Saturday, May 27. After splitting the doubleheader on Friday against the Bushland Falcons, Wall carried the momentum from their win in Game 2 to Saturday’s final matchup. Solid pitching, great defense, and a 4th inning rally propelled the Hawks to another victory, 4-2. The contest began as even as any game at this level could, with zeros on the scoreboard for the first two innings. Wall’s Dylan Gidney closed out the top of the 3rd on the mound before a weather delay halted the game. Rain permeated the field for almost an hour before the gathered lightning dispersed enough to resume the action. When Game 3 finally resumed, the Hawks quickly took action and scored the first run on an RBI sac fly from Luke Kemp. Wall led 1-0 after three.
