GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- A Grants Pass man was arrested yesterday morning after police executed a search warrant at his house and uncovered a pound of cocaine.

According to a Friday morning Facebook post from the Grants Pass Police Department, deputies uncovered "over one pound of cocaine, digital scales, packaging material, a handgun and over $30,000 dollars in cash and assets" from the house in the 1600 block of West Harbeck Road.

The suspect, 34-year-old Robert Matthew Garland, has been lodged at Josephine County Jail, the post said, on charges of manufacturing and possession of cocaine, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana.

GPPD said an earlier arrest in May led officials to Garland.

"In mid-May of this year, (Rogue Area Drug Enforcement) seized over one ounce of Cocaine, a digital scale, packaging material, and two (2) handguns and arrested 22-year-old Chance Cannon Calaustro for Attempted Distribution of Cocaine (felony), Possession of Cocaine (felony), Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Carrying a Concealed Weapon," the post said. "The arrest of Calaustro led to the subsequent search warrant at the above location."

GPPD urged anyone with information to contact them at 541-450-6371 or rade@grantspassoregon.gov.
