
Granite City, Ill. (KMOX) - Two first-degree murder charges were filed Tuesday against a Metro-East woman accused of gunning-down her boyfriend.
Police found 39-year-old Phillip Armstrong of Granite City dead in the roadway Sunday evening near the Granite City-Madison line.
On Tuesday, the Madison County state's attorney charged 37-year-old Tara Anderson of Granite City with two counts of murder, plus possession of a gun with a defaced serial number, and possession of a weapon by a felon.
Granite City police say they believe this was an isolated domestic incident.
