Linduska Field’s sod will be tested later this soccer season, but when Carl Behne’s Rams open the 2023 campaign on March 28 vs. Boone, the action will take place in Grand Junction at Karber Field. Also, Boone’s numbers are lower than Greene County’s, so the varsity teams will play at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with one half of JV play to follow the varsity contest. The varsity halves are 40 minutes each with a 10 minute intermission.

The intent tearing up all the old sod at Linduska Field in Jefferson and putting new sod down last summer was that all soccer would be in Jefferson, but school officials want to give the sod more time to develop, so at least the early season home matches will be in Grand Junction.

Coach Carl Behne’s team enters its fifth season of competition (there was no 2020 season due to COVID-19) and the Rams have had nothing but winning seasons with two State Tournament appearances included.
