Military vehicles to be displayed at Veterans Club parking lot for Hero Flight fund-raiser
GRAND ISLAND — Bill Luft’s collection of military vehicles will be displayed in the parking lot at the Veterans Club on Capital Avenue from noon May 1 to 6 p.m. May 2. The event is a fund-raiser for Hero Flight and is being done as a Go Big Give event, said Gary Quandt of Grand Island.

Over $45,000 in gold, Thai currency stolen from Grand Island home
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Over $45,000 in gold and Thai currency were stolen Wednesday from a home in Grand Island, police say. The theft was reported around 8 p.m. at a home near Old Potash Highway and Engleman Road. The residents discovered their home had been “ransacked,” police said....
