Postseason honors continue to roll in for area athletes from the just completed winter sports season. The Grand Island Independent recently announced its “All Heartland” girls basketball teams for the 2022/2023 season. MaKinley Tobey of Broken Bow was honored as an “All Heartland” third team selection and Halle McCaslin of Broken Bow was honored as an “All Heartland” fourth team selection. Tobey averaged 12.2 points per game this season and McCaslin averaged 9.2 points per game. The two juniors helped lead the Lady Indians to a 17-6 overall record this past season.
