BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - After last night’s thunderstorms, conditions will remain calm across the area today with sunny skies and slightly cooler temperatures compared to yesterday. However, we will see a reinforcing cold front cross tomorrow leading to temperatures dropping and one more round of rain showers and isolated thunderstorms. This will be our last rain chance until the middle of next week which will be a welcome sight to many after what has been a very active month so far in terms of rainfall. Blackwater River ‘Endangered’ by Corridor H Construction
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - An environmental group has named the Blackwater River on a list of 2024 endangered waters. The list was published by American Rivers this week. They say that the river is threated by the plans for Corridor-H, that would cross all of the river’s headwater streams for major construction activity.
