Suspicious death investigation in Lackawanna County
The death of a woman in Olyphant is being called suspicious. The Lackawanna County Coroner Olyphant Police and PA State Police at Dunmore were called to a home on Jackson Street last evening. The woman, in her 50's was found dead. More information, including her identity has not yet been released.

Police looking for suspect in Duryea assault
An assault in the borough of Duryea is under investigation. According to a post on the Duryea Police Department Facebook page, it happened around noon yesterday in the 13 hundred block of Main Street while those involved were working on a vehicle in a garage. Police say they are looking for a black male, with a large build and facial hair, possibly in his 30's, wearing a gray hoodie who punched the victim and ran off when others arrived to investigate yelling. Police are asking anyone with security cameras in the area to check them and contact Duryea Police with any information.
