Lebanon Police Department Welcomes Three New Officers
The Lebanon Police Department welcomed three new police officers onto the force Tuesday night after a swearing-in ceremony during the Lebanon City Council meeting. Lebanon Police Department Chief introduced three new police officers to the Lebanon community with local ties and a dedication to keep the community safe. Morgan commented that the dedication of the officers draws from their roots within the city.
Pedestrian safety in The Square at Rockingham Library
BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. – The Rockingham Walk-Bike Committee will hold a public forum on pedestrian safety in The Square on Thursday, June 13, from 6:30-8 p.m., at the Rockingham Public Library. A short presentation on a range of engineering and design ideas to improve safety in towns like ours will precede a moderated discussion among attendees.
Jon Langford returns to Bellows Falls
BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. – Jon Langford returns to Bellows Falls on Friday, June 14, with his band The Bright Shiners, for a show at the Ciao Popolo Ballroom. The Bright Shiners have just released a full album, “Where It Really Starts,” a collaboration with Tamineh Gueramy, Alice Spencer, and John Szymanski. Each song is a minimalistic jewel, yet the album is, in the words of The Guardian, “unsparing of aptly astonishing adornment – wonderful harmonies, horns, mellotron, bowed guitar, piano, looped percussion, and more. By our reckoning this is one of Jon’s finest works of art and his best outfit outside The Mekons themselves.”

Owner of closed drug clinics is under indictment in Vermont for health care fraud, other offenses
MANCHESTER, NH – The closure of six drug clinics in two states follows the indictment in April of its owner on federal charges in Vermont. Dr. Adnan S. Khan, 48, of Grantham owned New England Medicine and Counseling Associates (NEMCA) with locations in Grantham, Manchester, Newport and Rochester, and two others in Rutland and Colchester,Vermont.
