The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning and Heat Advisory for the Bay Area, as hot and dry conditions prevail over the coming days. A building high-pressure system will lead to some of the highest temperatures of the year, affecting both coastal and inland areas.

Temperatures are expected to reach dangerous levels, with interior regions facing highs between 90°F to 110°F. Coastal areas will also see unusually warm temperatures, while inland overnight lows may remain in the mid-70s to mid-80s. Elevated fire risks are expected, particularly across the interior Central Coast.

Residents are urged to take precautions, including staying indoors, drinking water, and avoiding outdoor activities during peak heat hours. Fire weather concerns will increase as dry conditions persist into the weekend.
