In today’s society when we hear the word Superhero we immediately think of the ones we see in movies and on TV, but what about those that are among us every day?
The Chatham Glenwood school district is training the next generation of those heroes through their Superheroes program.
WMAY’s Mike Wennmacher got a chance to head out to the Glenwood Intermediate School’s Fieldhouse to see what this program entails and speak to the program’s co-founder Pam Hogan as well as Glenwood Titans Head Football Coach David Hay who has embraced the program and all it teaches young men.
Mike also got to speak to a couple of Glenwood football players who act as leaders in the program and a 5th grader who is back for a 2nd year of learning what it takes to become a Glenwood Superhero; listen to the full conversations below.
