Falcons, Nitros Narrowly Lose League Games

The Crescenta Valley High School varsity boys’ lacrosse team was recently edged at Village Christian High in Sun Valley, 3-2, in a Gold Coast League game.
Junior Alex Lineses recorded one goal, one assist and two ground balls, senior Ethan Sheklow scored one goal with five ground balls, and junior Quincy Lunt tallied one assist and four ground balls.
Junior goalie Matthew Kubela saved 23 of 26 shots on goal while junior Nelson Lunt registered eight ground balls. Junior Elias Shammaa finished with three ground balls while senior captain Anthony Gharapetian and sophomores Ephram Wright, Andrew Peterson and Josiah Noh each had one ground ball.
CVHS (5-3 overall, 3-1 in league) will host Glendale for a league game on Tuesday, March 28, at 5:30 p.m. before visiting Crean Lutheran High in Irvine on March 31.

GLENDALE

The Nitros were edged by visiting Heritage Christian High of Northridge, 8-7, in a Gold Coast League game on Tuesday. Glendale previously lost a league matchup at Viewpoint High in Calabasas, 13-4. Individual statistics were not reported to the Glendale News-Press by the Glendale coaching staff.
The Nitros (2-6 overall, 1-3 in league) will visit Crescenta Valley for a league game on Tuesday, March 28, at 5:30 p.m. before visiting Notre Dame High in Sherman Oaks on March 31.
