Isabella McCune was just eight years old when she suffered a severe accident, resulting in burns over 65% of her body and a nine month hospital stay. During her stay, Isabella made a video reaching out to the star who was in Arizona for her Reputation Stadium Tour. “I heard you were here, and I wanted to visit you, but maybe you can come and visit me,” she said.

And so Taylor did! Sitting by her bed, Isabella and the superstar chatted, hugged, and talked about visiting another tour. As reported by AZCentral, Taylor left a note: “Isabella, I hope you feel better soon. I’m so honored you’ve been listening to my music. You’re so awesome and I can’t wait to have you at a show. Stay strong, gorgeous.”

Five years later, the now 13-year-old Isabella McCune was a special guest on day two of Swift’s long awaited Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. She was gifted four free tickets to Eras- the first of Swift’s tours since Reputation and her private hospital visit. Taylor Swift and her team guaranteed that her handwritten promise to the young fan came true.

“Not only the fact that I’m able to go and I got these tickets gifted to me, they’re from Taylor Swift and her team and they remembered me,” Isabella told ABC15. “Her music helped me a lot while I was in the hospital.”

Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour is in full swing, with awe-inspiring production, choreography and an impressive 44 song setlist, running nationally until August 2023.
