A 55-year-old man has been charged with assault for attacking a person after getting in a car crash in Glen Burnie on Wednesday, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
Police said officers responded around 9 p.m. to the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway for a report of an assault.
Through their preliminary investigation, police learned that 55-year-old Maylan Monroe Miller and the victim were in a minor car crash in a parking lot.
The two got into a verbal argument, when Miller got a straight stick from his vehicle and hit victim multiple times, police said.
Miller then went back to his vehicle, police said, and fled from the scene.
Police said the victim suffered from minor injuries, and did not require medical attention.
Officers were able to locate Miller and his vehicle a short time later, police said.
Police said Miller was arrested and charged accordingly.
