Barren County recognizes Memorial Day

GLASGOW, Ky. – Barren County spent their weekend honoring those lives lost in the fight for freedom. Dozens of people flocked to Glasgow Municipal Cemetery on Saturday. There, they laid flags down at each Veteran’s grave to say thank you for all that they did for our country.

The event is held annually, is free to the public, and is coordinated by the Barren Veterans Association.

The Association expects to see volunteers from all over annually. Kids with the JROTC from Barren County High School, local veterans, members of the general public, and even Barren County Judge Executive Jamie Bewley Byrd were out planting flags!
