KSP release new details in deadly Glasgow Wreck

One man was killed, and two deputies received minor injuries

GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) - State police are investigating a wreck in Barren County that left one man dead and two deputies treated for minor injuries.

According to a Kentucky State Police news release, the crash happened Monday afternoon just before 5:30 p.m. on Edmonton Road at Veterans Outer Loop in Glasgow.

KSP’s preliminary investigation indicates that Barren County Deputy Michael Stevenson was driving on Edmonton Road while responding to an active complaint. The deputy had his emergency equipment activated.

While at the intersection at Veterans Outer Loop, a Nissan Frontier hit Deputy Stevenson’s emergency vehicle on the passenger side.

The driver of that truck was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified him as 63-year-old William H. Osborn of Glasgow.

Deputy Stevenson and Deputy Hunter Carroll were transported to T.J. Samson Hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries.

The investigation is being led by the KSP Critical Incident Response Team. They were assisted at the scene by Barren County EMS, Barren County Sheriff’s Office, Barren County Coroner, and KSP personnel.
