Kshama Rosales, the dean at Highland Junior High School, has been appointed principal at Towne Meadows Elementary School in Gilbert Public Schools for the 2024-25 school year.

Rosales has spent 16 years in Gilbert Public Schools, the first 12 in special education. She became dean at Highland Junior High in 2020.

"I'm ready for this new adventure, and I can't wait to meet the rest of my Timberwolf family," Rosales said after her appointment.  "I love our mission statement, and I too promise to love them, believe in them, inspire a love for learning and challenge them to grow."

Rosales will succeed Chip Pettit, who has been principal at Towne Meadows since 2012.

"Mr. Pettit has done an amazing job of leading the Timberwolves, and he leaves some really big shoes to fill," Rosales said.

Before thanking her mentors and family, Rosales thanked her parents on taking a chance to adopt some foster babies.

"My twin brother and I were raised to be productive members of society," she said. "As a kid I didn't know what that meant, but I got it now."
