CHARDON, Ohio -- Thousands flocked to the Chardon Town Square on a cloudy and sometimes rainy Sunday to celebrate the final day of the Geauga County Maple Festival. The annual festival, which was founded in 1926 to market Ohio maple syrup, kicked off on Thursday afternoon. Each day consisted of dozens of family-friendly events. On Sunday, attendees were able to enjoy pancakes in the park starting at 8 a.m., along with the one mile and five mile sap runs.
