Geauga County Sheriff: Body of missing 76-year-old woman found in woods

GEAUGA COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - The body of a missing 76-year-old Thompson woman was found in a wooded area near her home Wednesday.

Geauga County Sheriff Scott A. Hildenbrand had asked for the community’s help in the search for Susan Taylor and hundreds of volunteers showed up Wednesday morning.

Taylor’s body was found several hours into the search.

Sheriff Hildenbrand said Taylor’s cause of death remains under investigation.

Taylor went missing from her Sidley Road home on March 17.
