SkyBridge celebrates National Yarn Bombing Day with inaugural ‘Knit the Bridge’
BOYNE FALLS — Colorful knit and crochet panels will adorn the 1,200-foot SkyBridge at Boyne Mountain on June 8 as part of its first-ever Knit the Bridge event. The display, which will include more than 200 handcrafted panels, is intended to commemorate National Yarn Bombing Day. According to SkyBridge Michigan, yarn bombing is a form of creative expression that involves adorning objects and public spaces with colorful knitted and crocheted patches.
