Lost property: West Hill Drive
A woman said March 12 that she had accidentally left her phone in an Uber vehicle when being dropped off at her boyfriend’s home. She found that it was pinging at a residence in Warrensville Heights.
Officers advised her to contact police from that city for assistance in retrieving the phone.
General assistance: Gates Road
A resident asked officers to check his home March 14 because he was out of town and had observed through his Ring camera that someone had been at the home earlier in the day.
Officers checked the property and found the home secure and no tracks in the snow.
Suspicious person: Gates Mills Boulevard
Officers checked on a report of a man walking in yards March 16 and confirmed that he was with the Illuminating Company.
General assistance: Brigham Road
Officers checked on a complaint about a vehicle parked in the roadway near Battles Road March 16 and learned that the truck belonged to a man who was working at a home. He had a suspended license.
He was advised to move the truck to the driveway, but not drive it after work due to his suspended status.
911 calls: Mayfield Road
Around 3 a.m. March 17, a 911 call was received from a woman who sounded confused about her whereabouts. She hung up abruptly.
Upon callback, dispatchers learned that she was elderly and was suffering a mental health episode while at Hillcrest Hospital.
General assistance: Mayfield Road
Officers assisted Mayfield Heights police March 17 with a large fight at the Cork N’ Bottle.
