A combined Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans and a Wreaths Across America mobile exhibit will kick off Garland’s Memorial Day weekend at Audubon Park from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Wreaths Across America raises money to place “HONOR” wreaths on the graves of veterans every December. The mobile exhibit serves as a mobile museum to educate visitors about the service and sacrifice of America’s heroes. Interactive exhibits, short films, and shared stories are included in the exhibit.

KRLD's John Liddle talked to Larry Allen from North Texas Wreaths of Honor about the event, which will feature remarks from Garland Mayor Scott LeMay, retired Marine Corps Maj. Gen. James L. Williams, retired Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Richard E. Carey, and U.S. Rep. Keith Self (R-Plano).
