OAKLAND -- Right-hander Trevor Stephan underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow on Wednesday in Dallas. CLEVELAND — Peter Knab likes only two things. “Cleveland sports, and traveling independently," Knab said. "And so I decided to combine the two.”. Knab has cerebral palsy, and he gets around on a bluetooth powered pair of wheels. They have some mileage. He attended all 162 Guardians games this past season. Knab said the Guardians got him a special number 162 jersey.
Yantek to be Recommended as Next Head Football Coach
Westlake Head Football Coach Jason Hall is stepping down after two years with the Demons. When coach Hall was approached two years ago to come back as head football coach, he made the commitment to help grow the program, but was transparent that he was not the long term solution. Coach Hall has put together a strong staff that includes a handful of current school district employees from grades 7-12. Coach Logan Yantek is going to be named as next head football coach, pending board approval. Coach Yantek has served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach under coach Hall. He attended Strongsville High School and has been coaching high school football for the last 10 years with stops at Olmsted Falls, Lakewood, and Brush High School. In addition to coaching at Westlake, he currently teaches 7th grade social studies at Lee Burneson Middle School. Coach Yantek lives in Strongsville with his wife and dog. The Yantek family will be welcoming their first child this spring.
