FATHER’S DAY SPECIAL AT HARBOR THEATER
FREE POPCORN FOR DADS at the 2 pm matinee of IF on Sunday!. One of Harbor Theater’s members saw IF on opening night. Here is her review:. WOW! The previews for IF were cute and funny, but I assumed, like many movies, they showed all the best parts. I assumed wrong. IF was a FANTASTICALLY WONDERFUL movie. It evoked ALL the pleasant feels. It was sweet, imaginative and endearing. I may have teared up a little in parts. The story line was beautiful, as was the cinematography. The acting was fantastic. I honestly have nothing negative to say about this movie except that I was sad it ended. Get yourself in to see this film. You don’t need to have kids with you to enjoy it either…. I didn’t! ENJOY!
Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop to help students with summer reading lists
For the first time ever, Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop is offering a half-price sale on books that appear on schools’ summer reading lists. Rosie Bensen, co-manager of the shop, explained: “Recently, the Maine State Library announced that the popular interlibrary loan program would shut down temporarily, but for much of the summer. One of our volunteers wondered if this would make it difficult for students to get the books they need to fulfill summer reading requirements. Another volunteer suggested the sale.
