The victim of a Gardendale hotel shooting has been identified, and another person is in custody.Police say the shooting happened around 12:35 a.m. Monday at a hotel in the 800 block of Thompson Street.Stay up-to-date: The latest headlines and weather from WVTM 13 Two coworkers from another state who were staying at the hotel were involved in a fight when one man shot the other in the parking lot and left.The victim, Julio Acosta Garcia, was pronounced dead at the scene.Gardendale officers and detectives determined the identity of the suspect, and with help from the Tupelo, Mississippi, Police Department, he was apprehended without incident.
