GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- The Garden City Police Department is searching for two armed suspects wanted in a car theft that occurred early Sunday morning on Long Island.
According to detectives, just before 3:30 a.m., a 50-year-old man was parked in his 2019 black Honda Civic in front of a residence located on Brook Street when two men approached the vehicle and displayed a knife and a firearm at the victim, demanding that he get out.
The victim, fearing for his life, complied and exited his vehicle, officials said.
The two suspects then entered the vehicle and fled the scene, traveling southbound on Brook Street.
No injuries were reported at scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
