Now the new homeowner says it reminds her of Booker.
"When I came out and saw this tree starting to bloom, which I never liked, I felt like it was a miracle from Jennie telling me she's OK," said Elaine Patterson. "So I've watched it since its grown, I've been excited about it. It's a century plant; it blooms every 100 years."
Patterson is now encouraging her neighbors to stop by and see the plant in person.
