Lansing Community College's bats come alive at World Series as Stars stave off elimination
Lansing Community College’s offense broke through in a big way at just the right time Monday, scoring seven runs throughout the fifth and sixth innings on its way a 12-2 win over Frederick (Maryland) in an elimination game at the NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series in Enid, Oklahoma.
Champlin Pool in Enid, Oklahoma to Open for 2023 Season with Swimming Lessons and Private Parties Available
Enid, Oklahoma's Champlin pool will open for the 2023 season on May 30th with lap swim, open swim, and aqua cardio hours scheduled for Tuesday through Saturday. Swimming lessons for children aged three and up will begin on June 6th.
NJCAA DII World Series Bracket Released
Memorial Day weekend is almost here and that means so is the return of the NJCAA DII World Series here in Enid! Starting Saturday, 10 teams will battle it out in a double elimination style tournament to claim the national championship. When the first pitch is made in the National Junior College Division II World Series, it will have a Verona hometown feeling with two Verona Area High School graduates. Both freshmen Nick West and Andres Kleinsek are pitchers for Madison College baseball team, which is making its fifth straight NJCAA Division II World Series appearance. The World Series kicks off on Saturday, May 27, in Enid, Oklahoma, and runs through Saturday, June 3. Madison College has made a record six World Series appearances from 2010-15.
