With the help of a California-based charity, one Middle Tennessee man will soon prove that it’s never too late to make your dreams come true.
Gerald Hennessee’s one wish is to fly in an airplane. The 82-year-old man remains close to The Capstone at Station Camp in Gallatin, where he lives with his wife, Bea.
However, on June 7, Hennessee’s dream will finally come true.
My Jump, a California charity dedicated to helping deserving seniors fulfill their bucket list wishes, has decided to partner with The Capstone at Station Camp and Hennessee to help him finally fly. On Friday, June 7 at 10 a.m., Hennessee will join flight instructor Nick Retterer in the cockpit of a Cirrus 769SR. The two will fly over Tennessee with Hennessee seated in the captain’s chair.
My Jump will capture Hennessee’s reaction to the flight using mounted cameras.
In a press release, My Jump stated that Hennessee’s chief complaint at the moment is, “Nobody lets me have any fun.”
Hopefully, this flight should change that.
