The City of Gainesville is urging motorists to be on the lookout for cyclists Monday as the city welcomes over 500 cyclists participating in the 43rd annual Big Bicycle Ride Across Georgia.

In a social media post, the city shared that the annual bike ride began Saturday and will continue through June 10 as participating cyclists ride from Clayton to Augusta.

“As Gainesville is an overnight town for BRAG cyclists,” the post read. “Please extend a warm welcome and encouraging words to these men and women should you see them out enjoying local restaurants and tasting rooms or exploring nearby retailers in Downtown Gainesville.”

The BRAG cyclists will be entering the city at various times Monday via the following routes: Gateway Centre Parkway, White Sulphur Road, Beverly Road, Lakeview Drive, Park Hill Drive, Morningside Drive, Riverside Drive, Glenwood Drive and finishing off at the Gainesville Civic Center.
