Gainesville Police release new information in Wednesday wreck on Aviation Boulevard

The Gainesville Police Department has released the names of those involved in a Wednesday afternoon wreck on Aviation Boulevard.

Lt. Kevin Holbrook with the agency said a 2023 Ford sports car driven by Trevor Gradidge, 53, of Gainesville, was reportedly driving eastbound at about 3:30 p.m. when the car crossed the center line and struck a 2005 Honda Odyssey head-on. The Honda was being driven by Enrique Andres, 46, of Gainesville. The wreck happened between the road's intersections with Queen City Parkway and Dorsey Street.

Gradidge and his passenger, Gregg Kettyle, 61, of Gainesville, were last listed in critical condition. The driver of the Honda, Enrique Andres, 46, of Gainesville was last known to be in stable condition.

Lt. Holbrook said the crash remains under investigation, but speed does appear to be a factor in the incident.


Update:

Aviation Boulevard has reopened. The wreck remains under investigation.


As of 5:18 p.m. Wednesday:

A sports vehicle lost control Wednesday on Aviation Boulevard between Queen City Parkway and Dorsey Street, sending three people to the hospital.

Gainesville Police responded at approximately 3:30 p.m. to reports of a two-vehicle wreck. Officials said a sports car with two passengers lost control and struck a minivan.

The two occupants in the sports car were both transported to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the minivan was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

According to a social media post, Aviation Boulevard is closed until further notice. Investigators are currently on scene
