MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Tennessee Bureau of Investigation provided an update Thursday on its progress in processing sexual assault kits quicker. State Senator Brent Taylor says the turnaround time on rape kit processing at the TBI crime lab in Jackson fell from 43 weeks at the end of 2022 to 15 weeks by March of this year.
