Country icon Miranda Lambert graced the 2024 ACM Awards (produced by Dick Clark Productions) on Thursday night (May 16) to deliver the live debut of her new song “Wranglers.”

Introduced as the most-honored winner in ACM Awards history and wearing a black bedazzled cowboy hat, a denim two-piece outfit with fringes and a big golden horseshoe necklace, Lambert took the stage to perform her latest single. She offered a rocking performance of the scorching woman-done-wrong’s revenge tale, electrifying the crowd at The Star in Frisco, TX.
Lambert is not nominated at this year’s show, but she is a 37-time winner at the ACM Awards, most recently winning video of the year (for Elle King team-up “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)”) and the prestigious entertainer of the year award at the 2022 ceremonies.
“Wranglers” is Lambert’s first single since signing with Big Loud and Republic Records earlier this year, and is expected to be the lead single from her upcoming ninth solo studio album. It debuts at No. 37 on this week’s Country Airplay chart (dated May 18) — coincidentally, also her 37th career song to rank on the listing.

While introducing her performance, returning ACM Awards host Reba McEntire referred to Lambert as her “Stagecoach buddy” — referring to how McEntire joined Lambert onstage at the Indio, Calif. country music festival in April to perform a trio of songs with her, including Lambert’s “Mama’s Broken Heart” and “Gunpowder and Lead.”
