Corner Bar + Kitchen celebrated a soft opening March 10 at 8898 Coleman Blvd. in Frisco.

An April 1 grand opening is also planned for for the restaurant and bar to officially introduce itself to the community.

“We really wanted to build a really nice neighborhood bar that had a beautiful scratch kitchen to give them good, quality food that was missing in this area,” co-owner Stephen Williams said.

Diners can enjoy both alcoholic drinks and nonalcoholic beverages, such as mocktails and nonalcoholic beer, as well as “liquor breakfast” mimosas, bloody marys, screwdrivers and wines. Food options range from creamy Cajun chicken pasta, Reuben sandwiches, build-your-own loaded french fries, blackened catfish and more.

Corner Bar + Kitchen’s operating hours are typically from 3 p.m.-1 a.m. The hours are flexible depending on if people are still in the bar or if there is a TV screening, such as March Madness or other showings the bar is planning for guests to enjoy, Williams said.

“One of our key things was being able to give [residents] a different product than what is, right now, in this area without having to go all the way down to The Star,” Williams said.
