Coroner’s Office seeks family of deceased Fresno man

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The Fresno County Coroner’s Office is looking for the family of a Fresno man who was found dead near an encampment in Fresno.

According to the coroner’s office, 57-year-old Norman Eugene Sanders of Fresno was discovered deceased on March 5 at an encampment located near Golden State Boulevard and Maple Avenue in Fresno.

The coroner’s office describes the man as 6’2″, 150 lbs., with blue eyes and gray hair. He has a tattoo near his right knee of a bald eagle with the words “Free Bird”.

Staff at the coroner’s office say they have searched numerous personal records, but their attempts to find the man’s relatives have been unsuccessful. Locating immediate family members is a necessary process for the Coroner’s Unit to release the body and allow the person to have a proper burial.
