Suspect named in southwest Fresno shooting, police say

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A suspect in a Fresno shooting that led to the death of a 47-year-old has been named and is wanted by the Fresno Police Department on Thursday.

Officers identified the suspect in this investigation as Elio “Games” Gamez. He is wanted for an active felony warrant.

Police say they received a three-round ShotSpotter activation in the 100 block of East O’Neil Avenue on Saturday at 4:23 a.m.

IDENTIFIED: 47-year-old man shot, killed in southwest Fresno

Upon arrival, investigators say they found 47-year-old Ryan Lecour near a gate that led into an alley. Lecour had an apparent gunshot wound and died at the scene.

According to investigators, shell casings and other items of evidence were discovered on the scene that suggested the weapon used in this homicide was a handgun. Witnesses told detectives before hearing the gunshots they had heard an argument between two unidentified people.
