Spammers and scammers are nothing new when it comes to online or social media, especially Facebook.

But we wanted to take a moment to enlighten our viewership and those who follow us on Facebook regarding scammers who post to our comment sections.

These individuals, likely bots, provide links in our comment sections that say “WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT” or “Here is the actual footage.” These posted comments are phony.

Do not – I repeat – DO NOT, click on these links as they pose a risk and could lead to a virus, malware, a hack, or a scam.

What are we doing to combat this? Simple, we’re going to comb through our comment sections and – if possible – ban these accounts.

What can you do if you see these posts in our comment sections?

  1. Don’t click on the link.
  2. Disregard said link
  3. Report the comment as spam
  4. Block the user
  5. Spread the word about them in our comment section.

If you feel like you’ve been a target of a scammer and have had your account hacked, the best thing you can do is try to reset your password. You can also click the following link which includes a variety of tips, provided by Facebook.
