Pedestrian in critical condition following hit and run in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A pedestrian was taken to the hospital Tuesday evening following a hit-and-run in Fresno.

According to the Fresno Police Department, officers were called to B Street and Calaveras regarding a hit-and-run collision.

Officers say the vehicle that hit the pedestrian took off from the scene but later came back.

That driver is now under investigation for possibly driving under the influence.

The Fresno Police Department says the pedestrian hit by the vehicle was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries and is currently listed in critical condition.

Officials say the crash remains under investigation and the identities of those involved are not yet known.
