Three teenagers are now recovering following a rollover crash Saturday night in southwest Fresno.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers were called to Highway 99 and Cedar Avenue around 11:30 p.m. regarding a rollover crash.

When officers arrived, they learned that three teenagers inside a Chevy Silverado had steered into a Toyota Tacoma hauling a trailer on the freeway.

Officials say the driver in the Silverado, identified as a 17-year-old boy, lost control of the truck and overturned down an embankment.

According to CHP, two other teens were in the truck during the collision and one, identified as a female juvenile, was not wearing her seatbelt at the time. She was then thrown from the truck during the rollover.

Investigators say the Silverado went through an electric fence and struck two RVs at the RV Country parking lot.

All three teens reported moderate to major injuries and were then taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Officers say they do not believe drugs or alcohol played a factor in the collision and those inside the Tacoma were not injured.
