Large group walks, bikes to showcase pedestrian safety in northwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A large group of community members was out and about Tuesday morning, seen walking and riding bikes alongside the California Highway Patrol in northwest Fresno.

According to CHP, the walk and ride your bike to school event took place down Van Ness Boulevard and ended at Malloch School near Bullard and Forkner Avenues.

The event, CHP says, was to highlight bike and pedestrian safety for those on their way to school.
