The city of Fresno will begin its 3-day outdoor watering schedule on Saturday.

The 3-day rule will remain in effect through October.

Residents can water outdoor lawns and gardens up to three days a week on their assigned day based on their home address.

Residents with addresses ending in odd numbers can water on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Residents with addresses ending in even numbers can water on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Watering is not allowed on Mondays and watering cannot take place between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

This schedule is in place to reflect residents’ need to provide more water for their lawns and gardens during the dry summer months.

Residents can also take advantage of the additional watering days for high-volume watering tasks such as filling or topping off pools and washing vehicles, windows, solar panels etc., with an automatic shutoff hose nozzle.

While the outdoor water use schedule allows for watering up to three days a week, the Department of Public Utilities encourages customers to practice good water conservation practices and use only as needed.
