A teenager is now recovering after a shooting broke out in southeast Fresno.

According to the Fresno Police Department, officers were called around 4:45 p.m. to Diana Street and McKenzie regarding a shooting.

Officers say a group of people was walking and gunfire struck a teen in the upper body.

The Fresno Police Department says officers found the teen and they were taken to Community Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

As of right now, there is no suspect information and it’s currently unknown if the shooting was gang-related.

The shooting, police say, remains under investigation.
