Fresno State started week three of spring football practice Monday morning with a lot of positions to be filled.

Only a handful of starters are returning on offense.

That presents challenges and opportunities for the players and for new offensive coordinator Pat McCann.

McCann played wide receiver at College of the Canyons and Western Washington.

His coaching career began at Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts where he served as offensive coordinator and receivers coach.

He then spent four seasons coaching receivers at UC Davis.

After spending the 2018 and 2019 seasons at Northern Iowa, it was back west to Eastern Washington where he served as receivers coach, offensive coordinator, passing coordinator, and recruiting coordinator.

In some of his past coaching stops, McCann has had the role of offensive coordinator thrust upon him with little time to prepare.

But in this case, he will have time to lay the foundation and build relationships to help prepare for the coming season.

Good luck, Coach McCann.
