BALDWIN, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — Four people have been charged with kidnapping a man and holding him at knifepoint inside a car while robbing him, Nassau County police said Wednesday.

The 24-year-old victim was in front of a Baldwin home on School Drive late Monday when four men forced him into their car and drove away.

His cell phone and wallet were taken from him at knifepoint inside the vehicle.

"The victim fearing for his life complied and gave the subjects his belongings," police said.

Police said the suspects are known to the victim, though their relationship isn't clear.

The thieves eventually let the man out of the car near Freeport's North Main Street and Randall Avenue intersection. He suffered only minor injuries.

Police said he walked into the Freeport Police station to report the incident.

Following an investigation, Freeport police located the four suspects on Guy Lombardo Avenue and Southside Avenue.

Brian Gonzalez Valdez, 25; Waldi Victoriano Perez, 23; Alexis Collado, 39; and Edily Durancanela, 26, were charged with first-degree robbery, two counts of second-degree robbery, kidnapping and assault.

Valdez was also charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

They were slated to be arraigned on Wednesday.
